Ideas and tips to manage baby’s wardrobe and room

In planning a baby’s wardrobe before she actually comes out, it’s not only exciting for a mom and dad but you may also have to put a lot of thought and money. A little planning goes along the way when it comes to shopping and choosing the best clothes and all other stuff like toys, shoes, caps, etc for your baby. But the truth is, newborns, don’t have the need for an extensive and a huge variety of outfits in their wardrobe for the first few weeks of life. You make yourself very busy trying to figure out which one your baby should wear the next day, or how to perfectly match tops, bottoms, and socks. There will be a lot of time for that preparation later.

  • Bodysuits or wrap shirt

Since your newborn nap so often, especially in the first few days after giving birth, bodysuits and wrap shirts are appropriate. At this stage, babies need comfortable, pretty clothes. The very use of these clothes is that they support the baby well. Also, wearing it will not show off your baby’s back and tummy. 

  • Sweater or Jacket

Babies don’t really like wearing clothes that were dragged over their heads. Some extra clothing can cause a rash to baby sweaters can be useful for them since jackets have buttons or zippers in the front.

  • Long Leg Sleepers  

They can be considered as sweaters for the legs of the newborn baby. It is the best idea to cover the baby from a harsh environment. Just let the baby wear it to protect them from cold and to keep the socks up. Just avoid leg warmers that are complicated to wear and require a lot of effort to wear on and off.

  • Super Soft Caps

Hats protect our heads and we need them to get rid of the rain and so are babies. It keeps the baby’s head warm especially in those early weeks. Babies need to be protected in these very early days.  You might want your baby to wear a brimmed hat for summer or a soft war hat that would cover his ears for winter.

  • Towel Holder

Use a separate towel holder for your baby and try to keep it clean as much as possible. Use multiple colors for your little one. 

  • Lotion and shampoos choice 

Don’t use ordinary lotion and shampoos for your baby. Always go for natural chemical-free stuff. Use a separate divider in the baby’s washroom for this stuff. 

  • Baby fridge

Try to use a small fridge in your room so that you can put feeders and fresh milk in it. And some boxes under the fridge and use this as a separate box for wasting food. 

  •  Use Ornament Boxes and Baskets

Baby clothes usually come in sets apart from onesies, dresses, jumpsuits, and the like. When you mix all the clothes into the dresses or closet, finding the matching pair can be the most daunting task. This is where ornament baskets can come to you help you. These boxes are designed into little square sections where tiny baby clothes will fit perfectly.

  • Use of Clothespins

Don’t spend a lot of money buying clip hangers for your baby’s closet. Instead, get a pack of clothespins. Clothespins are a great way to organize those two-piece apparel. Clip pants or skirts to the bottom of the hangers. Always remove pins carefully before you put clothes on babies.

  • Shelves

Add a shelf or two to any wall of your baby’s nursery to create some extra space for organizing the clothes of your baby. Add a dowel to one of these shelves to create a small closet that you can hang anywhere in your home that has space. You can paint the dowel in many different ways.
